Jesus Christ is the 2nd person of the Trinity (Matthew 3:16-17). He enjoys a fully divine nature and fully human nature. Being fully divine, Jesus Christ pre-existed all creation along with the Father and Holy Spirit (Colossians 1:17, John 1:1, John 8:58, John 17:5, Hebrews 13:8, Revelation 1:8). He was instrumental in the creation of all things (John 1:3, Colossians 1:16, 1 Corinthians 8:6, Hebrews 1:2). He holds all the rights of divinity, including attributes of divinity. Among His attributes of divinity are omniscience, omnipresence, sovereignty, and immortality (Matthew 8:26-27, Matthew 14:19, John 2:1-11, Mark 2:8, John 6:64, John 2:25, John 16:30, Matthew 18:20, Mark 2:5-7, John 2:19, John 2:21-22, John 10:17-18, Hebrews 7:16).

Through His incarnation, Jesus Christ was born of a virgin into full humanity (Matthew 1:18, 24-25, Luke 1:35. In His humanity, Jesus enjoyed a human body (Luke 2:7, 40, 52, 4:2, 6, 11, 19:28, Luke 24:39, 42. Jesus enjoyed a human mind (Luke 2:52, Hebrews 5:8, Mark 13:32). Jesus also enjoyed a human soul and emotions (John 12:27, Matthew 26:38, 8:10, John 11:35, Hebrews 5:8-9). In His full humanity, He was tempted as any man, yet was without sin (Hebrews 4:15). This was possible because of His full divinity. The purposes of His incarnation were primarily two-fold. One purpose of incarnation was to glorify the Father (John 13:31-32). Another purpose of incarnation was to save sinners (Colossians 1:13-14, Mathew 20:28, 1 Timothy 2:6, Luke 19:10). He glorified the Father by perfectly reflecting His glory and living a fully obedient life. He sought to save sinners by giving His life as an atoning sacrifice on the cross and by rising from the dead so that anyone who believed in Him would not perish, but have eternal life (John 3:16, Matthew 20:28, 1 Timothy 2:6, Hebrews 9:26, Ephesians 5:2, Titus 2:14, Hebrews 9:14, 10:12, 26). It was at this time that the Father made Him who knew no sin to be sin on behalf of sinners (2 Corinthians 5:21). Jesus Christ will one day come again to gather those who have been adopted by Him (John 14:3, Acts 1:10-11).
